Center for Careers, Life, and Service (CLS) Volunteer

Whether you can give an hour or a summer’s worth of time, there are students eager to tap your expertise and experience. Grinnell College alumni have always been generous, offering their time and connections to move other Grinnellians along in their careers. In today’s challenging job market, your support is necessary for Grinnell students to compete and an important way for you to make a difference in their lives.

Opportunities for CLS volunteers

  • Host a three- to five-day externship (job shadow) over spring break.
  • Share internship and employment opportunities.
  • Recruit (on campus or virtually) students for jobs and/or internships.
  • Network with and mentor current students via Grinnell Connect.

Supporting the career, personal, and professional development of Grinnell students is an institutional priority, and we hope you will consider becoming a volunteer.

For more information about volunteering for the CLS, please contact Jessica Stewart, senior associate director of alumni and donor relations, at stewarje@grinnell.edu or 641-269-3234.
