Celebrate the Solidarity of Asian Alumni
Every year, Scarlet & Give Back Day brings Grinnellians together around a single day of giving.
This year, a group of alumni across Asia began reimagining what that moment could look like. We decided to start with a simple and meaningful goal: 100 alumni donors from our region for Scarlet & Give Back Day 2026.
We come from different countries, cultures, and class years. Some of us studied together; many of us never met on campus but share the experience of being an Asian student at Grinnell – the late nights in the library, the first Iowa winter, the quiet pride of earning a degree halfway across the world.
That shared experience connects us, even now. And it’s worth honoring – together.
What we are asking of you
Honoring that shared experience doesn’t require a grand gesture. It starts with showing up.
Give any amount that feels right.
What matters most is not how much you give, but being counted. When you make a gift, you become one of the 100 – part of a collective moment of alumni across Asia taking part together.
This is not a competition. It is a reflection of steady solidarity. When 100 alumni across Asia raise their hands – at any gift level – we send a clear message: we are here, we are connected, and we care.
Where does your gift go
Growing support from Grinnell’s globally connected alumni community helps secure the College’s future. It is an opportunity to honor an institution that gave us so much, while strengthening relationships that will sustain Grinnell for generations to come. A gift in support of what you hold dear ensures that today’s students—and those who follow—continue to benefit from the experiences that define a Grinnell education.
