Why I Wanted to Serve on the Alumni Council:

Grinnell was a transformative experience that expanded my worldview and introduced me to many of my closest friends. Since graduating, connections with my college professors, staff, and Grinnellians across generations have guided me on my career and life paths. I'd like to help foster connections between, students, alumni, and the broader Grinnell community. I'd also like to help ensure that students maximize their time at Grinnell, especially those who are first generation college students or from underrepresented backgrounds.

A Quote I Like:

“To realize one's destiny is a person's only real obligation.”

―Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

A Little Bit About Me:

I'm a first-generation high school and college graduate from an immigrant Mexican family. In my career, I held positions in academic research, public policy, investment management and now work in venture capital. My hobbies include learning French, dancing tango, listening to audiobooks, and traveling.
