Alumni Council Announcements

In 2015-2016, the council assisted with the following initiatives:

  • Adopted a resolution expressing support for comprehensive consideration of accessibility and usability issues as part of the upcoming ARH/Carnegie renovation project as well as for future projects.
  • Provided meaningful feedback to the DAR team regarding the development of the new alumni website, its suite of donor communications, and its 2015–16 business plan.
  • Engaged in a comprehensive self study running from 201416. The Council discussed and reached a resolution on a number of improvements to Council structure, composition, and governance.
  • Assisted in the recruitment of a record-breaking 100+ alumni externship hosts for the 201516 academic year.
  • Advised the College on the communications plan following the fall 2015 Board of Trustees decision to maintain Grinnell’s commitment to a need-blind admission policy.

Alumni Council Meeting Minutes

The Grinnell College Alumni Council meets twice a year, in spring and in fall. The Council's 2017–18 meeting dates are October 26–28, 2017 and March 1–3, 2018.
