Why I Wanted to Serve on the Alumni Council:

Grinnell represents not only an incredibly important four years in my life, but also a foundation for how I view the world, analyze ideas, ask questions, and engage with my community. I am deeply grateful for my time at Grinnell, and it is both a privilege and a joy to give back through service on the Alumni Council.

As a first-generation college student from an immigrant family, I look forward to contributing to ongoing efforts to support and include students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, ensuring they have the resources and community needed to thrive.

A Quote I Like:

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”

―Rumi

A Little Bit About Me:

I currently work as a K-12 Curriculum Designer with the Art of Education. Previously, I served as the state's Fine Arts Consultant at the Iowa Department of Education, as a program manager for a community arts organization in NYC, as a freelance editor and writer, and as a visual arts educator in Washington, D.C., and Iowa.

You can often find me traveling the country and the world, rowing on the Des Moines River, at the barre gym, visiting museums, at themed events, shopping at my favorite local businesses, enjoying conversations with friends, planning my next trip, and just generally trying new things!
