Grinnell-in-Twin Cities - The Liar
Saturday, September 24
David Harrison, professor of French, and the Grinnell-in-the-Twin Cities Regional Planning Committee cordially invite you to join Grinnell French students for a matinee performance of The Liar, followed by a reception and talk by Professor Harrison. The Liar is a comedy adapted from Le Menteur by 17th century French poet and dramatist Pierre Corneille. The Park Square Theatre summarizes the plot as follows: “Clinton can’t tell a lie, but his master Dorante can’t tell the truth. Dorante is in hot pursuit of one woman, but thinks she is another, which leads to amazing mix-ups and breathtakingly intricate lies. Sharp and saucy modern language adds zest to this sparkling urbane romance.”
Registration for this event is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
