Why I Wanted to Serve on the Alumni Council:
Grinnell College is a special place. For me, the learning environment encouraged a new way of thinking, engaging, and being which has guided my professional growth. As a member of the Alumni Council, I want to help expand access to transformative opportunities for students through mentorship with the alumni community. I am excited to make meaningful contributions to an institution that is shown an unwavering commitment to service.
A Quote I Like:
“The practice of love is the most powerful antidote to the politics of domination.”
—Bell Hooks
A Little Bit About Me:
As an administrator at a social work school, I constantly use my social work training to engage with our students and community partners. I am passionate about effective leadership, mindfulness, and all forms of justice. I am unapologetically adventurous at heart. As a Chicago native, house music gets me dancing every time. Paris, my fur baby, makes sure I take breaks throughout the work day. I have a deep appreciation for Grinnell and the amazing people it attracts.
