Grinnell-in-Washington, D.C. Summer Picnic
The Washington, D.C. Regional Planning Committee, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, and the Office of Admission invite all members of the Grinnell community and their families in the area to the Grinnell-in-Washington, D.C. summer picnic. See old friends, make new ones, and give a special welcome to the just-graduated class of 2017 and the entering class of 2021.

Please bring a dish to share with others based on the list below.
If your last name begins with:
A–K ― please bring a main dish or salad
L–Q ― please bring a beverage (juice, lemonade, water, etc.)
R–Z ― please bring a dessert
As hosts, Patti Rounsevell '71 and JC Labowitz '71 will provide plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. However, please consider bringing your own reusable table service to minimize waste.
There is open grass and a playground with a sprinkler for children near the picnic area; please feel free to bring Frisbees or lawn games! There is limited seating in the picnic area, so we encourage you to bring picnic blankets or chairs if you are able.

Directions
Virginia Highlands Park is two blocks from the Pentagon City metro stop: walk south on S. Hayes Street and turn right at the firehouse. Our group will be located close to the playground equipment and park restrooms—keep an eye out for the Grinnell signs! Parking is available on S. Hayes Street and in a lot off of S. 18th Street.
