Cosmic Fairy Tales & Grinnellians Panel Discussion

Mark Anderson '77 and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations invite you to a unique theatre experience and follow-up panel discussion.

Theatre Gigante presents A Cosmic Fairy Tale A Day Keeps the Doctor Away - A set of 31 stories, written by Rok Vilčnik, made into 31 individual videos by performers and storytellers around the world. Inspired by the similarities to our own time of isolation during the Covid-19 crisis, and the tales of Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron, where men and women share stories as they shelter in seclusion in order to escape the plague in the 14th century, these short, uniquely bizarre Fairy Tales, offer the viewer a month's worth of adventures into the Cosmos from the safety of their own home.

Watch the short 2-12 minute videos at a leisurely pace throughout the rest of the month or binge them if you prefer. Then join us for a panel discussion with some of the artists and producers involved in this project, on Thursday, April 1 at 7 p.m.

This is a great way to support the arts, connect with your fellow Grinnellians, and have some fun!
