Northeast Regional Networks

There are numerous active regional networks in the northeastern part of the United States. If you would like to volunteer for your local regional network planning committee or if you don’t see a network in the northeast close to you, please contact Monique Armbrister, associate director of alumni and donor relations, at 641-269-4417 or armbristerm@grinnell.edu

Grinnell-in-Northern New England

The Grinnell-in-Northern New England Regional Network encompasses all of Vermont, New Hampshire, and parts of northeastern New York. About 215 alumni live in this regional network with network and an additional 145 Grinnell College students, parents, and friends of the college live in the area.

The Grinnell-in-Northern New England Regional Coordinators are: Toben Galvin ’95 and Phil Sletten ’11.

Grinnell-in-Boston

The Grinnell-in-Boston Regional Network extends through eastern Massachusetts. Around 690 alumni live in this regional network network and an additional 760 Grinnell College students, parents, and friends of the College live in the area.

The Grinnell-in-Boston Regional Coordinator is: Mackenzie Shanahan ’14.

Grinnell-in-Southern New England

The Grinnell-in-Southern New England Regional Network encompasses western Massachusetts, portions of southeast New York, all of Connecticut, and all of Rhode Island. Around 360 alumni live in this regional network and an additional 220 Grinnell College students, parents, and friends of the College live in the area.

The Grinnell-in-Southern New England Regional Coordinators are: Jake Joseph ’11 and Anna Halpin-Healy ’13.

Grinnell-in-New York

The Grinnell-in-New York Regional Network encompasses all of greater New York City, which includes a small portion of New Jersey.  Around 1500 alumni live in this regional network and an additional 1700 Grinnell College students, parents, and friends of the College live in the area.

The Grinnell-in-New York Regional Network does not currently have any regional coordinators. If you are interested in serving in this role, please contact Monique Armbrister, associate director of alumni and donor relations, at 641-269-4417 or armbristerm@grinnell.edu.

Grinnell-in-Philadelphia

The Grinnell-in-Philadelphia Regional Network encompasses all of eastern Pennsylvania, part of New Jersey, and Delaware.  Around 370 alumni live in this regional network and an additional 390 Grinnell College students, parents, and friends of the College live in the area.

The Grinnell-in-Philadelphia Regional Coordinator is: Erin Owen ’94.

Grinnell-in-Pittsburgh

The Grinnell-in-Pittsburgh Regional Network encompasses eastern Pennsylvania and a nearby portion of Ohio. Around 120 alumni live in this regional network and an additional 150 Grinnell College students, parents, and friends of the College live in the area.

The Grinnell-in-Pittsburgh Regional Coordinators are: Garth Jones ’88 and Tara Meyer ’86.
