Grinnell-in-New York - Grant Wood: American Gothic and Other Fables
Join your fellow Grinnellians in New York for a private group tour of Grant Wood: American Gothic and Other Fables at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Colin Brooks '13, web developer at the Whitney, and a Whitney Teaching Fellow will welcome our group and lead us through the exhibition of Wood's work, featuring various works on loan from the University of Iowa and a video of the Iowa State library murals in Ames.
1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21
Whitney Museum of American Art
99 Gansevoort St.
New York, NY 10014
Registration: The tour has a limited capacity so space is limited and registration is required. Admission is reduced with our group: adult tickets are $20, senior tickets (age 65+) are $16, and we are offering $16 tickets for recent graduates (classes 2013-2017). The Grinnell-in-New York Regional Planning Committee and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations will give one drink ticket for each attendee to use at the Studio Cafe after the tour. Please register with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations online or by phone at 866-850-1846 by Wednesday, April 18.
