Explore Career-Engagement Opportunities with Grinnell

We are pleased to showcase Grinnell’s career-related opportunities for both alumni and students. In partnership with the Center for Careers, Life, and Service (CLS), we provide a range of offerings to support growth and development. Whether you are a current student or an alum with little time or a lot of time, we have something for everyone to share or enhance their skills and goals.

Externships: Holistic Look at Life After Grinnell

Our externship program allows alumni and parents to spend 3-5 days hosting career-exploring students during spring break. This hands-on experience helps students gain insights into the daily life of different careers and assists them in making informed decisions about their future. It is an excellent way to showcase the various paths Grinnellians take after graduation.

Internships: Real-World Experience

Internships are a crucial part of the learning experience at Grinnell. With your help, students are exposed to a variety of possible internships in their desired fields, giving them the chance to gain hands-on experience, explore career paths, and make connections that can lead to future employment opportunities. The CLS team works closely with students to identify internship opportunities that align with their goals and aspirations.
