Learn Flowing Wave Qigong to Flow More Smoothly Through Your Life

Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that melds mindfulness with movement to improve both relaxation and natural vitality. In this workshop, you will learn some easy to do and remember techniques that you can utilize almost any time you want to create your own island of calm. Because it emphasizes enjoyment of the technique over an exacting series of movements, you can do qigong standing, sitting, or even lying down.

Workshop Time and Date: 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. CST; Sunday, August 2
Workshop Lead: Claire Holland ’74

Meet Claire Holland ’74

I have been teaching Flowing Wave Qigong for 7 years and became a Certified Qigong Instructor five years ago. I have been teaching Flowing Wave Qigong via Zoom since COVID-19 put a stop to my ongoing in-person classes. My own Qigong practice has been my primary resource to deal with the sadness, fear, and anxiety of having to stay home. I taught western medicine at Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine from 2009-2019 and music at University of North Florida from 1998-2001. I am a licensed medical doctor and a licensed massage therapist.
