Airport Shuttle Service

Grinnell College offers shuttle service for Reunion attendees traveling to and from the following locations:

For the most convenient and timely service, we recommend flying into Des Moines International Airport (DSM).

Allow for at least 90 minutes travel time between Grinnell and any transportation hub.

Shuttle Availability

Arrival Shuttles: Available Thursday, May 29 (noon - 10 p.m.) and Friday, May 30 (10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
Departure Shuttles: Available Sunday, June 1 (3 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
All other arrivals and departures must be arranged independently, as campus transportation staff will shift focus to Reunion on-campus needs.

Shuttle space is guaranteed until April 30.
From May 1 to May 15, we will do our best to accommodate shuttle requests as space allows.
After May 15, no additional shuttle requests can be accepted as we must finalize arrangements and logistics.

You can sign up for a shuttle during Reunion registration. If you've already registered:

Note: Children’s car seats and booster seats are not provided.

You must select your shuttle time when registering. If you paid for a shuttle but did not select a time, we will contact you in early May to confirm.

If your flight is delayed and you miss your scheduled shuttle, we’ll do our best to accommodate you on the next available shuttle.

If your flight arrives after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, the next shuttle will be on Friday morning.

You must select your departure shuttle time when registering. We recommend choosing a time at least 3 hours before your flight.

If your flight is before 6 a.m., you can request an early shuttle. Please note:

These early shuttles may be grouped and may leave significantly earlier than your flight time.
This helps reduce trips during low-demand hours.

We strongly encourage travelers to avoid very early arrivals or departures when possible.

No arrival shuttles are available between 10:15 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- If your flight is delayed and arrives after 10:00 p.m., the College will reimburse you for one night’s stay at a hotel near the airport. Please save your receipt and submit it to the Reunion Transportation Desk in JRC.
Departure shuttles before 6:00 a.m. on Sunday are very limited and may be grouped.
