Why I Wanted to Serve on the Alumni Council:

I want to broaden the scope of what I have been doing as Class Agent to communicate with and engage a wider representation of alumni of diverse backgrounds and interests to help the College attract top students who have a love of lifetime learning and a strong desire to improve the world around them, as well as to provide support and guidance to current students and other alumni.

A Quote I Like:

"If we succeed in giving the love of learning, the learning itself is sure to follow."

―John Lubbock

A Little Bit About Me:

I'm curious, love to learn new things, and I have a firm commitment to lifelong learning. I have been an active volunteer in many different areas since I was a pre-teen and strongly promote volunteerism (my Labrador retriever recently retired from his volunteer work as a therapy dog). Since retiring from corporate life I earned a 2nd M.A. (oldest student in my class by decades) and have been teaching part-time at a nearby university. I am a shameless dog spoiler, I love to travel both nationally and internationally, and I love to experiment with new recipes.

Other Alumni Involvement: Former Class Agent, Reunion Planning Committee, Former Externship Host, Former Alumni Picnic Coordinator
