Sarah Labowitz '04 on Equity and Disaster Recovery in Post-Hurricane Harvey Houston

Join Sarah Labowitz '04, communications and policy director, City of Houston Housing and Community Development Department, and your fellow Grinnellians to learn about the City of Houston's work on affordable housing post-Hurricane Harvey. Hurricane Harvey often is described as an "equal opportunity" storm, putting both wealthy and low-income communities under water. A year after the storm, data can help us understand the long-lasting effects of Harvey across the city. Sarah will share insights from a recent study conducted by the City of Houston's housing and community development and Civics, a Washington, D.C.-based data analytics firm.
