How to Live Through Dying

Loosing both of my parents unexpectedly in my 20s turned Saunia's attention from starting a theatre company with fellow Grinnellians, to issues of dying and grief. In the past 11 years, she has worked as an interfaith chaplain in hospitals and hospice organizations, since graduating from a progressive seminary in Berkeley, California, with a brief – albeit wonderful – few years coordinating the Grinnell Prize back in Grinnell. Saunia now lives in Iowa City and loves her work training future chaplains. She also recently has begun doing death doula work and am excited to expand my offerings to training death doulas as well. She loves to share and encourage this important skill-set, and educate folks about how to support one another letting go at the end of life.

Workshop Time and Date: April 15 at 7 p.m. CT
