Lopes Rhodes Dirty Teaching Lab, S1335

This space is officially named in gratitude of the generosity of Melinda J. Lopes ’85 and Kevin H. Rhodes ’85.

Tribute

Melinda and Kevin met in 1984 at the Anthropology Department’s summer field school near Flagstaff, Arizona, led by Professors Kamp and Whitaker.  They are pleased to support the lab, where faculty and students do the “dirty work” of cleaning and processing artifacts, bones, and other specimens.  Their gift honors their Grinnell experience, and their daughter Emily Lopes Rhodes ’19.
