Tribute
Beloved Professor of History D. A. Smith taught at Grinnell from 1970 to 2006. He mentored generations of Grinnell College students throughout his career as a teacher of history. Many of his former students have also enjoyed lifelong friendships with him. The D. A. Smith Classroom has been dedicated to Prof. Smith by a group of former students as testament to their gratitude.
