Grinnell Alumni and Community Cookbook

In the four years that each Grinnellian spends on campus, they share approximately 3,000 meals with friends, classmates, teammates, faculty, staff, host families, or others in the Grinnell community. Think back to your time on campus, whether you dined in Quad, Cowles, or the Joe Rosenfield ’25 Center, and the ways your relationships with your community and this very place took shape and grew around those tables. Beyond the commencement stage, we Grinnellians continue to gather to share a meal and foster these relationships and communities. From a workday lunch, to a dinner party or summer potluck picnic, there’s something special about the way we hold space for and support our relationships with each other.

In celebration of the ways that Grinnellians welcome each other to the table, the Alumni Council led a project to publish a new alumni community cookbook! Welcome the Grinnell community into your kitchen with each recipe in the cookbook, submitted by alumni from the classes of 1953 to 2017. A few recipes were also included from the 1975 Alumni Community Cookbook. The cookbook is available for purchase at the Pioneer Bookshop and through their online shop.

Bon appétit!
