This space is officially named in gratitude of the generosity of Alexandra Hoffman Gottdiener ’87 and Charles Gottdiener ’86 in honor of Ruth Gottdiener and Barbara Anderson.
Tribute
Alexandra and Charles have named a HSSC classroom. This donation serves to acknowledge and honor the transformative experience a Grinnell education played in both their lives. Course work in the humanities and social sciences shaped their analytical and communication skills. The classes they took challenged their ability to learn in different ways, taught them to be curious, and how to deal with both success and failure.
Donating to the HSSC serves to acknowledge and honor the transformative experience a Grinnell education has played in both our lives. Course work in Economics, Political Science, English, Art History, Religion and other disciplines in the Humanities and Social Sciences shaped our analytical and communication skills. Just as importantly, classes we took in the ARH challenged our ability to learn in different ways, taught us to be curious, and how to deal with failures.
