Crowdsourcing Photos with the Grinnell College Archives

Many photos given to the archives contain few, if any, details about the events or the people captured in the images. Help identify people, events, and even places on campus or beyond by logging on here and browsing the many unidentified pictures we have acquired over the years. Thank you for helping!

Make your own Emoji Sticks!

Increase your fun at all of your virtual meetings and events by downloading and then printing this template to make your own emoji sticks.

Supplies Needed:

  • A printed copy of the emojis. This should be two pages (one page has the front of the emojis and the other page has the back of the emojis).
  • Scissors
  • 6 sticks about 5-7 inches long. Popsicle-like sticks work best for this, but you can use foam board or heavy cardboard cut into strips or something equally durable and of similar size.
  • Glue

Directions to create your own Emoji Sticks:

  1. Print off the emojis and cut out each piece. Be careful to keep the backs with the correct fronts. You wouldn’t want to mix them up and create an awkward Zoom moment where you meant to show a caring emoji, but end up showing your blank one! That would be embarrassing!
  2. Glue a stick to the back piece first, using the dotted line as a guide for placement. Make sure, however, you are placing the stick on the side of the paper that is not printed on.
  3. Put glue all over the paper and on the part of the stick that is on the paper. Place the front of the emoji on top of the back piece, with the printed side facing out. Press down firmly to spread the glue around in order to hold the two pieces together and to make sure the stick is securely glued in place.
  4. Let dry for 30 minutes.
  5. You are ready to use your emoji sticks!
