2025 Young Alumni Socials

You’re invited to attend a Young Alumni Social (YAS) near you! On the evening of Wednesday, April 9, 2025, alums from the classes of 2014-2024 will gather in five cities across the country to reconnect, reminisce, and rally for Scarlet & Give Back Day!

Typically, Young Alumni Socials are happy hour-style events hosted by young alumni in partnership with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. However, this year, beyond catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, there’s a bigger mission: showing up for Grinnell. Scarlet & Give Back Day, Grinnell College’s annual giving day, is about passing the baton to current and future students—those who strive, innovate, and go forth with impact.

Whether you donate, spread the word, or show up to celebrate, every effort will count toward making a difference.

Young Alumni Socials FAQ

Who can attend a Young Alumni Social?

Young Alumni Socials are open to any Grinnell College alums from the classes of 2014-2024 and their plus ones.

What will be provided?

The college will provide snacks and a first drink for each attendee. Guests may choose from non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine.

What does the event cost?

No. Young Alumni Socials are free to attendees. However, guests who order a second drink are responsible for paying for it.
