The Grinnell-in-Washington, D.C., Regional Planning Committee and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations invite all members of the Grinnell community and their families to the Washington, D.C., summer picnic. See old friends, make new ones, and give a special welcome to the just-graduated class of 2019 and the entering class of 2023.

Potluck instructions
Please bring a dish to share with others based on the list below.
If you or your Grinnellian are class of:
2019–2023 ― please bring a nonalcoholic beverage or dish of your choice
2010–2018 ― please bring a dessert, side dish, or salad
2009 and earlier ― please bring a main dish
Plates, cups, napkins, and utensils will be provided; however, please consider bringing your own reusable table service to minimize waste.
There is open grass and a playground with a sprinkler for children near the picnic area; please feel free to bring Frisbees or lawn games! There is limited seating in the picnic area, so we encourage you to bring picnic blankets or chairs if you are able.
Directions
Virginia Highlands Park is two blocks from the Pentagon City Metro stop; walk south on South Hayes Street and turn right at the firehouse. Our group will be located close to the playground equipment and park restrooms — keep an eye out for the Grinnell signs. Parking is available on South Hayes Street and in a lot off S. 18th Street.
