Thomas J. Watson Fellowship 50th Anniversary Celebration
Grinnell College invites you to attend the two-day Thomas J. Watson 50th Anniversary Celebration on campus this spring.
The program events in April will recognize and engage Grinnell's Thomas J. Watson Fellows through interaction with one another and with current students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Watson Fellows will have various platforms to share their journeys as we celebrate 50 years of Watson. We humbly and vibrantly recognize the formative connection we have with the Watson Foundation, and the growth and transformation the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, and the process of applying, has provided our alumni.
Thursday, April 19
5:30 pm to 7 pm – Buffet Dinner for Thomas J. Watson Fellows
As you arrive on campus, there will be a buffet dinner available in the JRC.
7:30 pm to 9 pm – Thomas J. Watson Fellow Panel and Dessert Reception
All Watson Fellows will share their Watson journeys through the panel and/or reception conversations.
Friday, April 20
9:30 am to 11 am – Thomas J. Watson Fellow Campus Tour
Whether your last visit to campus was last year or 30 years ago a lot has happened. Join the group for a tour of campus.
12:30 pm to 2 pm – Watson Slam
In the spirit of a poetry slam, every Watson Fellow will have 10 minutes to share their Watson journey with the campus community.
2:30 pm to 5 pm - Thomas J. Watson Fellow Chats
Be available for one-on-one conversations with future Watson Fellowship applicants from GC.
2:30 pm to 5 pm – Thomas J. Watson Fellows in the Classroom
If you have an interest, we will seek out an opportunity for you to share your Watson Journey and/or professional career within the classroom.
