Save the date for the 2017 Global Day of Service!
On June 10, 1846, James J. Hill laid a single silver dollar — the seed that started Grinnell's endowment — on the table at the first meeting of the College's Board of Trustees. Celebrate Founders' Day and Grinnell College's commitment to social justice and social responsibility on our third annual Global Day of Service.
The Grinnell College Alumni Council and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations invite all Grinnellians to take part in this celebration by giving back to your local communities.
How to be involved: Alumni will be planning group projects for Grinnellians in many cities throughout the first two weeks of June. Visit alumni.grinnell.edu/GDS to learn more about how to be involved as an independent volunteer or with a group project. If you are interested in organizing a Global Day of Service group project in your area, please complete the project proposal form on the Global Day of Service page before April 1.
