Grinnell College Virtual Alumni Geography Bee
Can you name the two rivers that spurred the development of the ancient Sumerian civilization? Do you enjoy learning about how states got their shapes? Maybe you just loved looking at an atlas as a kid?
Then join us for two fun, wonderfully nerdy evenings of geography knowledge and competition at Grinnell's first virtual Alumni Geography Bee!
The Geography Bee will be organized into two rounds. The first, preliminary round will be held on Wednesday, April 7. Participants will be split into multiple, live breakout rooms, and a facilitator will quiz participants using the same set of geography-related questions to answer in each room. The preliminary round will be open only to registered participants.
The top 15 finalists from Wednesday's event will return for a live-streamed championship round held as part of our Scarlet and Give Back Day celebration on Wednesday, April 14. We look forward to discovering our first Geography Bee champion!
