Grinnell-in-the-Twin Cities:
St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Sculpture Tour
Join veteran ice sculptor Alice Nadeau '13 for a tour of the St. Paul Winter Carnival ice sculptures in Kellogg Mall Park. Alice has been carving ice since the age of 8 and has competed with her dad in several Winter Carnivals.
1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3
Kellogg Mall Park
62 W. Kellogg Blvd.
St. Paul, MN 55101
On this tour you'll learn how ice sculptures are made, hear a little local history of the Winter Carnival Ice Palaces, as well as see carvers in action finishing up their sculptures by the 2 p.m. deadline!
This event is free and drop-ins are welcome, although it will be helpful to have a sense of how large our group will be. If you know you will be joining us, please email Karmi Mattson '97 at 97grinnellian@gmail.com with your information. Our group will meet at the park fountain near where Kellogg Boulevard and Minnesota Street intersect, on the north side of the fountain, facing Kellogg Boulevard.
