Grinnell-in-Boston: Young Alumni Tour of Downeast Cider
Mackenzie Shanahan '14, Ashraya Dixit '14, and Anna Halpin-Healy '13, assistant director of alumni relations for regional programs, invite all young alumni in the Boston area to a private tour of Downeast Cider House! Our group will have a casual tour of the cidery from taproom manager Max Goransson, followed by time in their taproom to taste a selection of their ciders and connect with one another. Founded by two young alumni of Bates College, we thought that Downeast would be a fun space to bring together Grinnell's young alumni in the Boston area. We will also have Union Square Donuts for our group!

If you would like to attend the tour, RSVP to Anna at halpinhe2@grinnell.edu; please be sure to include your full name and class year, and those for any guests you plan to bring. The tour has a limited capacity, so RSVP soon to secure your spot. We strongly encourage those who are unable to participate in the tour to join us in the tasting room afterward! The taproom is open 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Saturdays, and the tour will be about a half hour long.
Please note that the taproom does not have a full pour license and is only able to serve each person a maximum of 16 oz. We hope that whether or not you are interested in tasting their cider, you will join us for this educational tour and opportunity to connect with your fellow Grinnellians!
Directions
The cidery is a 10 minute walk from the Mackerick Station on the blue line; and there is parking available in front of the building and on the street. Please visit the Downeast Cider website for more specifics about directions and travel.
